Marketing Matters is a strategic integrated agency. We specialise in creating campaigns that reach high-net-worth customers in the retail and finance sectors. We do this by understanding what truly motivates your customers, how to reach them and how to change behaviours.
We are part of the OLIVER Group, one of the UK’s fastest growing independent agency businesses. This gives us global reach and breadth to deliver your messages.
We develop your marketing strategies and deliver through-the-line campaigns. By understanding your true business drivers we are able to deliver to your objectives, whether this is sales growth or branding.
We have the flexibility to work with a range of clients from established brands such as Princess Yachts to high growth brands like Vet’s Kitchen.
We create bespoke integrated campaigns with sustainable results.
English Apples appointed MM to initially develop a campaign support English apple growers (objective for Jan 2015) and progress the campaign later in the year to drive awareness of English Apples amongst shoppers / consumers (objective for Oct 2015).
Tapping into the emotion of the nation, we developed a campaign which made the sticker the hero of the campaign and we encouraged others to share their ‘sticker story’ memories. Driving awareness of English apples and encouraging shoppers to ‘look for the sticker’ in store.
Strategically planning media touchpoints we ran press ads in female targeted magazines, implemented digital media on key target market websites, developed a social media campaign across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram as well as supporting the activity via a bespoke radio ad which aired on Heart FM.
Results within the first 2 weeks of campaign kick off:
Facebook: Increased from 131 likes to 2,700+
Twitter: Increased from 113 to 2,300+
Instagram: Increased from 0 to 30
MM were appointed to develop a promotional strategy for Hoburne to drive sales of Holiday Homes over the peak season at Hoburne Devon Bay.
We developed a campaign which targeted visitors to the park, encouraging them to become Holiday Home owners. Using eye-catching creative, we utilised key on park media and produced park posters, leaflets and banners, driving footfall to the Hoburne sales office. As well as on-site activity we also used radio, press and Facebook advertising within the local area of Torbay, driving footfall to the park to generate and increase sales.
We generated an emailer, which was sent to 10k highly targeted email addresses. Guiding potential customers to ‘find their ideal holiday home’, by clicking through to a dedicated website landing page, promoting data capture by encouraging sign up to offers and the option of a call back.
90.8% of visitors to the site were new visitors
High dwell time 2mins 36secs average time spent on page
Over 120 site ‘hits’ in one day

As part of our ongoing work with Hoburne we were also appointed to develop a new responsive website. There were a few reasons why this needed to happen, the main being the site wasn't responsive, we also needed to roll out the new branding as well as move to an open source framework, so there would be no ongoing license fees and also to integrate with their new payment provider TNT and booking system Park Vu.
The challenge was to create a site template which would work for Hoburne's two target audiences 'Holiday makers' and 'potential owners' and to focus on improving function over style. The previous website wasn't performing as well as it should and there was a large drop out in the checkout process and user experience on mobile was very poor to, so anything we could do to make the booking system process quick and smooth as well as improve conversion rates was a high priority.
As part of this project we also conducted a 5 park location photography shoot, to gain much needed content for the site.
Since the new responsive site launched we have seen a 318% increase YOY in the booking process.

MM were appointed by Pets' Kitchen to promote their food range 'Vet's Kitchen'. They were launching the range in Morrisons and wanted a support campaign to drive this launch and drive sales in the retailer.
As Vet's Kitchen product has a unique USP that it is created by Vets who work with pets day in day out we developed the proposition 'We know your pets, inside out' which communicated that they are confident that they know what is best for pet's insides as well as how this reflects on the outside.
We created a media plan to communicate the campaign and drive the Inside Out proposition forward. Activity included in store activation with catalina couponing at till, campaign microsite, Social Media, press ads and gained PR in the The Grocer, Pet’s Mag and Swindon Advertiser.
MM developed the unique and inspirational creative which clearly communicates the Vet’s Kitchen USP.
