PR Account Manager
The public relations arm of Marketing Matters offers smart, strategic communication services to regional, national and global clients - working within a range of dynamic sectors.
We are looking for a new team member to work with our growing client base. The role will require you to support the PR Account Director in effectively managing and pro-actively servicing our client accounts.
You need to have at least three years PR experience across as many sectors as possible including solid experience within the marine industry. A proactive and creative approach will be essential to continue the success we have built up with our clients and their chosen media.
You should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in delivering great service to clients, and work well as part of a team. You will be expected to represent the company and its clients appropriately to all external sources, and work effectively in conjunction with the PR Account Executive.

Job description
We are looking for a PR Account Manager who can use all forms of media and communication to proactively build, maintain and manage the reputation of our clients, which cross over many different sectors - from marine through to healthcare.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing the PR activity plans for clients, and to build and maintain strong relationships with relevant global, national and regional media to maximise positive press coverage.
Acting as a key point of contact for client accounts, you will effectively manage day-to-day tasks and assist all key press under the direction of the PR Account Director.
Typical work activities
This role is very varied, however typical tasks will involve:
- providing creative input and assisting with the planning, development and implemention of PR strategies
- client liaison - including regular update meetings
- liaising with colleagues and key spokespeople
- answering enquiries from the media, clients and other organisations
- researching and writing press releases and editorial features
- selling-in press releases and placing editorial features
- devising and coordinating photo opportunities
- organising events including press trips, press conferences and exhibitions
- ensuring the adherence to all PR processes and quality procedures
